今天的英文文法題目，是考分詞構句的用法，在副詞子句中，主詞與主要子句的主詞一致，可將連接詞及其後之主詞刪去，動詞片語中之第一字 → Ving，若為be動詞且為助動詞(進行式、被動式)，則將being一併刪去！

Since Cindy studied very hard, she got good grades on the test.

→ Studying very hard, Cindy got good grades on the test.

After Jerry had finished all his work, he left.

→ Having finished all his work, Jerry left.

While Tom was working in the garden, he saw a snake.

→ Working in the garden, Tom saw a snake.

Because Jenny was taken by surprise, she couldn’t utter a single word.

→ Taken by surprise, Jenny couldn’t utter a single word.

所以原句為：Because she is a good cellist, she was hired by the orchestra.

→ (Being) a good cellist, she was hired by the orchestra.

因此答案是(C)。
